Northern Potter School District
Mr. Michael Morgan
Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year!
We are excited to have students back in classrooms, involved in athletics, fine arts, and extracurricular activities. I hope everyone had a fun and rejuvenating summer!
Northern Potter School District exists to provide all students the opportunity to achieve their highest potential. In order to accomplish this mission, our focus is on customizing learning for every student to meet their individual needs.
At the middle school level, our teachers and students will continue to focus on mastering PA Core Standards. We have made progress reports of student mastery levels of Standards much more user friendly!
Our high school teachers have added ten new elective courses for our students to choose from, based on personal interests and skills to help shape post-secondary decisions.
My hope is that every student capitalizes on their talents and interests by getting involved in the variety of athletic, club, and music opportunities our school has to offer.
At the beginning of the school year, I will meet with students to discuss many of the important requirements and expectations that will impact them throughout the year. Some of these areas include Keystone and PSSA testing, graduation requirements including community service, and behavior expectations.
Below is a list of important dates to start off the school year.
August 14th- First day of Fall sports
August 22nd- Middle School Orientation (6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.)
August 24th- First day of school
August 31st- Picture day (7th-12th grade)
